OMAR WELCOMES HURRIYAT’S TOUR OF PAKISTAN
Srinagar, Dec 20 (Only Kashmir): – While welcoming talks between leaders of certain separatist groups of Kashmir and Islamabad, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Thursday emphasized similar dialogue between them and New Delhi adding that lopsided dialogue process would not yield any result.
“After returning from Pakistan they should also talk to Indian leadership. No one has put any condition for talks for them”, he said adding that separatists should put their agenda before the people and accordingly initiate dialogue with Government of India unconditionally to work out solution to J&K centric political issues acceptable to all stakeholders.
Referring that separatist group which has not gone to Pakistan for talks, the Chief Minister said that when it is an universal truth that militancy has achieved nothing and dialogue is only way forward to settle problems, the other separatist group should also get involved in talks to address complex issues for the good of general public and peace and prosperity in the State.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a function after inaugurating 76 metres long old heritage Zainakadal Timber Bridge after it has been restored and made pliable for pedestrian and light vehicles. He also laid foundation of new bridge downstream Jhelum in Zainakadal area. (OK)

Omar Abdullah belongs to the family which is the founder of many important matters in J & K State.The family founded and nurtured the Freedom Movement under the Banner Mahaz i Azadi;the family promoted the pro Pakistan sentiments and then tried to curb the same,the family opposed India tooth and nail.the family took a U-turn and befriende India.Looking and evaluating in the hindsight, all these things were aimed at laying the foundation of "The Abdullah Family Rule" in the state.
This family belongs to none:not to India,not to Pakistan and not to Kashmiri's.It belongs to political power.It can belong to BJP<Congress,CPI,anybody, for the sake of power.
Srinager and Down Town has been the strong hold of the party for election purposes.The only threay has been the Mirwaiz family.
Whatever Abdullah's do in DownTown is aimed at weakening the Mirwaiz influence in down Town.Omar Abdullah is using the Geelani factor to that end and he is earning dividends.
The Geelani factor has been gaining foothold in downtown since some time and that foot hold takes a toll on Mirwaiz influnce.
Opposing Geelani through challenges enderas him(Geelani) to the youth of Down town-who are likely to call shots during elections.Omar's rhetoric is to be seen in that pwerspective.
