HINA RABBANI KHAR ASSURES MIRWAIZ OF SUPPORT ON KASHMIR
New Delhi, July 26 (Only Kashmir): Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Tuesday assured Chairman Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Omar Farooq of Pakistan’s support on Kashmir issue. Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar met Mirwaiz Omar Farooq at Pakistan High Commission here on Tuesday.
Mirwaiz Omar Farooq accompanied by Prof Abdul Ghani Bhat, Agha Syed Hassan Badgami, Bilal Ghani Lone, Mukhtia Ahmed Waza, Mussadiq Adil and Muhammad Abdullah Tarri had come from Srinagar to meet Foreign Minister Khar.
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar was consulting Kashmiri leadership prior to the Pakistan-India ministerial meeting on 27 July, which will also discuss the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
Hina assured Mirwaiz of Pakistan’s principled position on Jammu and Kashmir based on the realization by the Kashmiri people of their right to self determination and that Pakistan sought the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Mirwaiz Omer Farooq and the Kashmiri leaders appreciated the political, diplomatic and moral support given by Pakistan to the Kashmiri cause.
