STRIKE CALENDER 27 OCTOBER TO 08 NOVEMBER

Srinagar Oct 25 (Only Kashmir): Syed Ali Geelani today announced a new protest calendar in connection with the Quit Kashmir Campaign, which includes shutdowns, protests and sit-ins. According to the calendar people will observe complete shutdown and Black Day on October 27 against the landing of Indian troops in Jammu and Kashmir and march towards the UN Observers’ Office. On October 28 and October 29 people will resume their normal activities.
He said that complete strike would be observed on October 30 and October 31 with peaceful protests from Maghrib to Isha would be held against Indian state terrorism and human rights violations. “On November 1, people have been asked to observe complete strike and hold peaceful protests from Maghrib to Isha. No Strike will be observed on November 2. On November 3, Kashmiris have been asked to observe a complete strike against the arrests by Indian forces, however, no strike shall be observed on November 4,” he added
Syed Ali Gilani called upon the people to observe civil curfew on November 5, November 6, November 7 and November 8. He urged people to pay tribute to Jammu martyrs who were killed in 1947on November 6. “On the same day Internet users will mail letters to the US President, Barak Obama, against illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India and stage protests to invite Obama’s attention towards Kashmir dispute, who will be visiting India on November 6,” the veteran leader added.
