GOVT SETS CONDITION TO RELEASE 12 PSA DETENUES

Srinagar Oct 17 (Only Kashmir): The government has stipulated the release of 12 PSA detainees to a set of conditions including guarantee by parents and local respectable.
On the basis of recommendations of the Review Committee, Government on October 09 last ordered temporary release of 12 PSA detenues lodged in different jails.
Official sources told Press Bureau of India that the detenues would be released only after a bond with two sureties by parents and at-least one respectable person for locality that the released would not indulge in subversive activities.
“The sureties would also be held responsible for any kind of undesirable activity by the youth released under PSA,” the sources said.
The released youth, as per government directions, cannot leave the jurisdiction of concerned District Magistrate without his permission.
Besides, the sources said, the release would be reviewed after three months and will be extended only after concerned District Magistrate certifies that the released person’s behaviour was satisfactory during the period. “In-case of any violation to the conditions, the youth can be re-arrested any time even within a period of three months.”
the government on October 09 last had announced release of 12 persons including Omar Fayaz Katoo son of Fiaz Ahmad of Tiploo Mohalla Anchar Soura, Sameer Ahmad Mir son of Wali Mohammad of Mawar Handwara, Sabzar Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid of Redwani Bala Kulgam, Sarwar Iqbal Rather Son of Mohammad Iqbal of Kralpora Dharambugh Chadoora, Budgam, Mohammad Shafi Kanjal Son of Mohammad Abdullah of Ichhkote, Budgam, Aqib Nazir Bhat Son of Nazir Ahmed Bhat of Tengpora Gandharbal, Mousin Shafi Mir Son of Mohammad Shafi of Naseerabad Chinkipora, Sopore, Baramulla, Samiullah Bakshi Son of Hafizullah of Branwari Kupwara, Hilal Ahmed Malik Son of Ghulam Ahmad of Trehgam, Kupwara, Tariq Ahmed Dar Son of Mohammad Ramzan of Hathishah Sopore ,Baramulla, Firdous Ahmed Shah Son of late Ali Mohammad of Abi Guzar, Srinagar and Mushtaq Ahmed Mir Son of Ghulam Hussan of Chek-e-Cholan Hermain, Shopian. So far, only four persons have been released, sources said.
