FIVE PROTESTERS INJURED IN BANDIPORA

Srinagar, Oct 13 (Only Kashmir): At least five persons were injured when police and paramilitary CRPF troopers used force to quell protesters in Bandipore district. The protests broke out at Nusoo, Saderkoot Bala, Takia and Ajas when paramilitary CRPF troopers beat up two youth and tried to arrest them from Saderkoot bala in the district without any provocation.
Paramilitary CRPF troopers injured five persons including Rameeza Raja, Rafiqa Begum, Showket Ali, Imtiyaz Ahmed and Mudasir when the protesters resisted CRPF’s attempt and did not allow the force personnel to arrest the youth, witnesses told media men.
Anti-India protests were also held at Galwanpora, Hyderpora, Mochou, Chattabal, Qamarwari and Lal Bazaar areas. Paramilitary CRPF men beat up civilians without any provocation at Jawahar Nagar, Nawpora, Rainawari and other areas in Srinagar. “When the paramilitary personnel were leaving the places in the evening, they beat several persons mostly youth without any provocation,” the residents said.
Meanwhile, troops arrested four persons including Mohammad Farooq Didad, Nasir Ahmad Poswal, Mohammad Iqbal Magray and Qasim Jan from Tangmarg in Kulgam district of South Kashmir.
