Sikhs, Muslims condemn killings

Srinagar, Aug 25 (OK): The members of Khalsa Political Committee and Muslim Welfare Committee, Alloochi Bagh, Srinagar, at a joint meeting on Wednesday at Gurudwara Allocho Bagh, expressed deep sorrow and anguish over the innocent killings during two months. Condemning the killings, the members of both the communities demanded immediate halt to these. “The cordial relations between the Sikh and the Muslim communities was hailed and noted with satisfaction. An appeal was made to both the communities to remain united and maintain traditional communal harmony,” said a spokesman of the Khalsa Political Committee, Alloochi Bagh, in a statement on Wednesday.
