Police foil Aali Masjid congregation

Srinagar: Police on Saturday did not allow the Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, from holding a congregation at Aali Masjid in old city. “Police erected barricades and laid a siege around Aali Masjid. They did not allow people to assemble in the Masjid, nor was Mirwaiz allowed to come out of his Nageen residence,” Mirwaiz’s close aide Sofi Mushtaq told Only Kashmir on phone.
